Use Bamboo for broad testing, and save a smaller section of the garden for premium crops when you want to compare results. Write down your best height and weight rather than relying on memory, because after a few hundred harvests they all blur together. It also helps to avoid chasing every rumour from chat. Someone else's giant Corn or absurd Bamboo stalk may have happened during a boosted event, with different equipment, or with plain old luck.
